В Вашингтоне в одном из влиятельных американских аналитических центров - Фонде Карнеги состоялась дискуссия о последних политических трендах в Казахстане. В обсуждении приняли участие эксперты ведущих американских мозговых центров и университетов, а также представители Госдепартамента США. От Казахстана в обсуждении приняли участие советник Президента РК Ерлан Карин и исполнительный директор Казахстанского совета международных отношений (КАСМО) Искандер Акылбаев. Модератором дискуссии выступил старший сотрудник Фонда Карнеги доктор Пол Стронски.
Основной темой обсуждения стали новые инициативы Президента РК Касым-Жомарта Токаева – создание Национального совета общественного доверия, экономические и политические реформы, реализация Концепции «Слышащего государства». Участники экспертной дискуссии отметили позитивные тренды в социально-экономических и политических процессах в Казахстане. По мнению участников дискуссии, Казаxстан по части проведения национального диалога и новыx реформ задает новые тренды в регионе.
Помимо круглого стола в Фонде Карнеги казахстанские эксперты также приняли участие в экспертных обсуждениях на площадке Атлантического совета и Школы Эллиот международных отношений Университета Джорджа Вашингтона.
