On 14-15th of May 2019, in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, the Kazakhstan Council on International Relations and Valdai Discussion Club (Valdai Discussion Club) held the Third Kazakhstan-Russia Expert Forum.
Experts discussed global geopolitical transformation, projections on Eurasian economic union, Kazakhstan-Russia relations, China's foreign policy, media dialogue, cooperation in Central Asia as well as transformation of social contract, values and human capital.

On 2nd of April, Iskander Akylbayev, Executive Director of Kazakhstan Council on International Relations (KCIR) gave a lecture at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (Washington DC, USA) and presented the latest analytical overview "10 most important events (trends) for Central Asia in 2019" published by the KCIR.
